Poster Illustration for Hydrophyllum
Breakfast Disco Pool is an illustrated project created for Hydrophyllum, inspired by the encounter between aquatic landscapes and the convivial atmosphere of a summer morning by the pool.
The illustration draws inspiration from the vegetation typically found in wetland environments, particularly irises, reeds, and water lilies, which become the narrative framework of the entire composition. The swimming pool is reimagined as a small ecosystem inhabited by geometric and surreal characters interacting with the water and the surrounding landscape through a series of playful and light-hearted scenes.
The research phase began with the observation of the natural shapes of floating leaves and aquatic flowers, which were then simplified and translated into my visual language. The colour palette was developed from the tones found in these natural environments, combining muted greens, soft blues, and warm accents to evoke the slow and relaxed rhythm of summer.
Through a composition rich in details and multiple layers of interpretation, the poster explores the relationship between nature, well-being, and social connection, transforming the event’s visual communication into a narrative image that invites viewers to pause, observe, and discover.
I am fascinated by the way nature creates forms, rhythms, and relationships. In this project, I transformed these elements into an illustrated scene celebrating the lightness of summer and the pleasure of sharing time with others.
